Comments From Kathryn’s Spotlight

In Kathryn’s message she says how much she would like to hear what others do to “make sunshine”. We invite all those who want to share their ideas to add their comments to this post. This is a wonderful way to share things that help all of our friends and neighbors.
For many years I have worked with infants, toddlers, their parents and caregivers. We keep lots of bubble wands and jars of bubble solution around and hand them out to the adults to “spread a little “joy” ( Our bubble solution is made from Joy dishwashing detergent) In a matter of minutes, faces brighten and spirits are lifted of both the bubble blowers and their young charges as they delight in the resulting bubble shower. Seeing the caregivers relax and smile and hearing the laughter and giggles of the children brings joy and sunshine to my heart. Jeri

Kathryn’s message is sweet & smart. These are just a few things I do:
I smile a lot.
)
I always offer to help others whenever possible.
I like to randomly do special little favors or surprises.
I sometimes secretly do tedious chores for someone.
I write letters, send cards & email people I care about, just because.
I try to remain positive, especially if someone else is feeling down.
I frequently remind my family & friends how much they are loved & appreciated.
Even when I’m busy, I make time for the people in my life.
I frequently put love notes & special treats in lunch boxes, vehicles, on desks, etc.
If I’m having a really bad day, I focus on the many blessings in my life.
I try to be a cheerleader for others.
I like to compliment people just to make them smile.
I treat people with kindness and respect.
I try to be my best & give my best, even when I feel my worst.
Making others happy makes me happy.
~Carolyn
Kathryn and Carolyn have listed so many good ideas! They have listed almost everything I can think of.
My day gets a little brighter when I pick something on my “to do” list that I’ve been procrastinating about, and just do it! Being able to cross it off the list, and not have it hanging over my head gives a great feeling of accomplishment and I’m ready to do more!
It is easier to make other people happy when I am not worrying about myself!
